Our Grooming Services:

Grooming Details:

This page is designed to help explain a Groomer's terminology so that you know better what to ask for when booking an appointment, or discussing your dog to your Groomer.

Bathing:

When you want the very basic done to your dog, a bath is what to ask for. A bath includes the following:
  • Your dog professionally bathed and catered to his/her needs with special shampoo - i.e.: medicated, flea, tick, oat meal, etc...
  • Complete dry and brush out.
  • Toe nails trimeed, ears cleaned and pulled if your breed requires such.
  • Pads and privates tidied up.
  • Bow or Bandana and cologne if wanted - always free of charge!

Partial Groom:

A partial grooming includes everything listed above for a standard bath, plus the following:
  • Face, feet, & tail tidied up.
  • Skirt line trimmed.

Full Groom:

Full grooms include everything listed above and your dog gets the works - which includes hair taken off the entire body. This would be any breed specified pattern of grooming all the way to a basic shave down.

We also offer the following services:

  • For the older dog or the young puppy, or if you just choose for your dog to not stay long, we offer what is called a "Start-to-Finish". A Start-to-Finish is a bath, partial, or full groom done in three hours or less. Because this service requires our groomer to work only on your dog in that period of time, there is an additional $25.00 additional charge. Start to finish grooming can be done ONLY by appointment, no exceptions! Your groomer can help work out a schedule with you that will suit you both the best. Be sure when you book your appointment to always let the person on the phone know if you have any time conflicts. If you tell us we can just call you, that's what we will do. We will then assume that this means any time through out the business day. Always state you want a specific pick up time if so desired. This keeps everyone on the same page and happy!
  • Heavily matted dogs always require extra attention. If your dog is matted and ABLE to be de-matted, there will most likely be an additional charge for de-matting. Understand that heavily matted dogs sometimes must be shaved down. We NEVER shave owners pets without upfront consent, and you may be asked to sign a matted pet release. For the safety of your pet this is sometimes required. Matted dogs are at higher risk for getting skin infections, flea infestations, and sickeness. They are also more likely to get injured in the grooming process, including brush burns, bruising, and cuts if you choose to enter the de-matting process. It is safer for your matted pet to be clipped down then to have tightening mats on it's body. Matted dogs can hold water and this cancause your pet to catch cold and become sick, EVEN if it is an inside pet. Regular grooming of your pet can help to ensure that matting will not become a problem for you.
  • We can apply Frontline or Advantage to your dog after grooming at an additional charge upon request.

Other Services Information:

  • Be sure to let your groomer know if your pet has any allergies. This will avoid problems with perfumes for the both of you.
  • Also, always be sure to keep us updated on your pet's health. Knowing any conditions beforehand can always help in dealing with your pet for basic grooming, and can also help make us aware of things to look for.
  • We DO NOT use any tranquilizers or restraints to groom your pet. We are firm believers that safety always comes first and that there is never a need to push grooming on your pet. Some pet's require special attention or might take longer to get used to the grooming process and for this we ask for your patience and understanding if it takes several attempts to get a new puppy adjusted, an older dog groomed, or a problem dog done. This helps to ensure that your pet will have a good experience and will enjoy future grooming.

As always, our business will continue to grow with referrals from you. We appreciate your business and continued support!
